100 days with Lily

My mom gave me a CD with all the pictures she had of my family since October 2015
Michael's birthday, Lily comes in 2 months.

He loved that crazy card with the googly eyes
 Halloween! Sarah was Leia.
Danny as Han Solo. James was Chewbacca.
Michael as Darth Vader. Peter was Luke Skywalker. Andrew was Darth Sidious. I was the death star--cuz' you know, I was big and round.
My boys playing around grandma's quilt.

Me on Nov 11. for some unknown reason...
 Dec 30th, 2016.

 Bilirubin lights.

I placed Lily in my mom's lap. The first thing mom said at seeing Lily was "Oh my goodness, she's so small."
She told me later that she was so glad that I made her hold Lily, and that she was scared to hold such a little baby.
 At Primary Children's Hospital.

Andrew put the socks on her feet-- called them her angel socks.

The ribbon was way too big....

 My dad holding Lily.

 Lily's lamb.
Andrew and I were at the hospital.

Coming home with Lily. I was terrified to bring her home, especially on all the medical equipment. But that fear was over run by my desire to have Lily be held by her sister and also, I want Lily to pass away in my home, not the hospital. My niece Christine and her husband Sean are in my kitchen, they brought us an owlet to monitor Lily's vitals. We also had a pulse-ox, oxygen, feeding tube...etc. The medical equipment alone filled Andrew's car. I rode in the backseat of the car right next to Lily, watching every breath, monitoring every heartbeat, praying just to make it home for Sarah to hold her once.

I totally cried. All. Night. Long.

Awesomeness in the form of my sister Eileeny.

Danny is absolutely thrilled to have a sister.
"My baby sister! She's a boy." - Danny.
"Um, she's a girl." - Me
"She's a girl????" - Danny
"Yes."- Me.
"My baby sister! She's a boy. Um... girl?" - Danny
"Yes, girl." - Me.
"Okay." - Danny

We gave her a priesthood blessing, referred to as a name and a blessing in the LDS church. Andrew told her that she would live as long as needed to teach others about Love. And that all the blessings of life, family, marriage, children she would experience in Heaven.

First family pictures. My sweet sister Annalisa took professional ones too.

Taking molds of her feet-- I think the ladies name is Christine? Kristi?

I called color me mine, they allowed me to paint things at my house and then take it back to them to be fired.

Syrup jar with a part of 'Race you to the top of the morning" quote painted on it.
Lily hated this outfit, the fuzzy collar bugged her. I cut off the collar with fabric scissors.

Lily's one month birthday party. I made this cute pink doggie cake. the pink spots were heart-shaped.

For Lily's birthday, all the others kids got a present. Minion Trouble.
Candyland.
Qwirkle.
Playdoh for both Peter and Danny.

My mom gave Lily a little kitty-cat finger puppet.

My mom gave Lily this card too.

Looks like mom took a picture of my fruit bowl/apple swans... the kids broke it the following day. oops!
Andrews parents brought us KFC for dinner.
My sister Pam mailed me this little stuffed animal Dragon. Andrew has a song that he associates with each of our children, Lily's song is "Race you to the top of the morning" from Secret Garden--Andrew's most favorite musical, he played his cello at one of the theater productions.
Pam also made the blanket.
We were also celebrating my birthday... My mom made the actual cake, I made the chocolate dipped strawberries and decorated it.

My parents (both sides) decided after watching my kids multiple days that I needed to have more silverware.

Putting final stitches into Lily's blanket.
Lily's blanket.
Mom cried when Lily was wrapped in it. She told me she was worried that Lily wouldn't survive to be wrapped in it.
Lily slept with her grandma made blanket every night once it was finished.

I got the doggy cake mold as a white elephant gift. Each one of my kids has requested a doggie cake since then. Zuma was the cake for James.

A Ryder Paw Patrol toy, the only thing James wanted for his birthday.

First visit ever to Grandma's house.

Day 161

Today Lily is 161 days old, or 23 weeks exactly.

She's been spitting up her feeds for the last 48 hours.

Last night she didn't sleep.

Today her oxygen had to be increased from .12 to .25, and she's still not holding her oxygen levels, another 10 minutes and I'll have in increase it again.

She is covered in sweat, because her heart is bothering her.

Morphine doesn't seem to be touching the pain she's feeling.

Bucket List- Dinosaur Museum

First a few random pictures....

Now.... a few fuzzy pictures from my phone.
We celebrated Peter's birthday by going to the Dinosaur Museum. It was one of Lily's good days.

Since I started homeschooling, my kids have suddenly become more productive. They didn't run through the museum, but instead took time to look at things, listen to what Andrew and I taught and they even completed all the dinosaur puzzles and other activities. This is also indicative of their ages. They are getting older. Peter, was the only one that kept having 'squirrel' moments.

For Danny's birthday we have tickets for the aquarium!
